SLS PA: Thank You from the PA Presidents

SS
On Thursday, May 20, the Parents’ Association was ecstatic to be able to host its first in person event in over a year. It was a beautiful morning to be able to come together as a community for our annual Parent Appreciation Breakfast & Annual Meeting. Diana and Serge Doré graciously opened their backyard to over 60 parents.

Everyone enjoyed being able to catch up with members of the community that many had not seen, in-person, since before Covid, to meet some of our new families that joined us this 2020-21 school year, and to enjoy delicious treats and breakfast drinks from Caffe Bon. Both Mark Davis and Ginny Bachman joined us to toast the successes of the year and to honor and thank all of our hard-working parent volunteers who gave their time and energy to St. Luke's this year. In addition, Mark acknowledged and thanked Peppi Jones, Diana Doré, Mara Neafsey, and Elaine Pizzarelli, members of our Executive Board who are stepping down after their years of devoted service to the St. Luke’s community.  During the gathering, the new members of the Executive Board were approved, including: Michele Casey, Shannon Ellis, Megan Rosow and  Liz Seale.

The St. Luke’s community is a special place in part because of parent volunteers like you. In a year that presented many challenges, you helped to reimagine opportunities to engage as a community and move forward to make the year special in its own unique way. We sincerely appreciate your willingness to get involved, share your time, treasure and talents, welcome new families and attend our virtual events. St. Luke’s is so fortunate to have such an engaged and dedicated parent community.

Congratulations to the Class of 2021! Best of luck in your next adventure and remember to come visit us on the Hilltop.
Wishing everyone a wonderful and relaxing summer!

Fondly,
Amy DiTeodoro and Penelope Jones
