Food Trucks Were a Sweet Treat!

SS
On Monday, May 25 the final food truck made its lap around the Hilltop providing our 8th grade students a special treat from the Give • Gather • Gift Event. Thanks to the generosity of our St. Luke’s Parents, students from various grades were surprised with a food truck to help make the Spring Semester a little extra special. Treats varied from gourmet donuts to snow cones, make-your-own sundaes, specialty ice cream in a bubble cone, and good old fashion cupcakes. Who would have thought that all that bidding on that snowy Monday, back in February, would bring a smile to so many faces this Spring?!

The food trucks gave the students an opportunity to take a break from the school day and enjoy the company of their peers and teachers while satisfying their sweet tooth. Everyone especially loved when Mr. Chuhta got behind the counter and joined in the fun serving up ice cones to the fifth graders.  A special thank you goes out to Lisa Shaplen, our Food Truck Rock Star, who coordinated the food truck visits to the Hilltop!
Thank you to everyone for your generosity and helping to make 2021 a memorably sweet Spring!
