Spring Athletes Honored in Postseason Awards

Following a tremendously successful spring season, 20 St. Luke’s athletes were honored in the Fairfield Athletic Association (FAA) postseason awards.

In baseball, captains Lewis Cropper ‘21 and Ryan Higgins ‘21 were named All-League for their outstanding contributions as members of the Storm team that won its first FAA League title in 15 years. Justin Higgins ‘23 received an honorable mention. 

Ben Loomis was named All-FAA for golf after a strong performance this season, and sophomore Eoin Mueller received an honorable mention in a breakout year.

Boys lacrosse captains Justin Pearl ‘21 and Hayden Critchell ‘21 made the All-League team for their incredible performances on offense and defense, respectively. Dillon Mannix ‘22 was given an honorable mention for his stellar performances.

Girls lacrosse captains Ryan Weil ‘21 (All-League), Annalise Correia ‘22 (All-League), and Molly Kim ‘21 (HM), were all recognized for their superb contributions that resulted in the team finishing the season with seven straight wins..

Girls tennis had another wonderful season, with Audrey Magnusen ‘21 and Liza Sieghart ‘24 being named All-League players. Caroline Pellegrino ‘21 received an honorable mention in her final season with the team.

Boys tennis captain Zach Amendola ‘21 was named All-FAA for boys tennis alongside seventh grade prodigy Quinn Scanlan ‘26. Adam Rizvi ‘21 was awarded an honorable mention for his excellent play this year.

In softball, Storm pitchers Alex Bacher ‘24 and Dakota Kelly ‘22 were named on the All-FAA team for their tremendous displays on the mound. Captain Lili Messina ‘22 received an honorable mention after guiding the team to the league championship.

In addition to the FAA honors, nine athletes were recognized on the regional level. 

Jeremey Reid ‘21 received the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award for his contributions on the field and in the classroom. 

Julia Lombardo ‘21 was named as part of the All-New England Soccer Team by the United Soccer Coaches Association for her exceptional performances for St. Luke’s.

Boys soccer captains Jake Kavan ‘21 and Desmond Pratt ‘21 were both named on the Connecticut All-State Preparatory School Team of the Year.

Justin Pearl ‘21 received the US Lacrosse Bob Scott Award. This honor recognizes high school seniors who go above and beyond in service to their team, school, and community.

Finally, the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) recognized Annalise Correia ‘22 and Ryan Weil ‘21 as All-League recipients, while Molly Kim ‘21 and Sarah Beran ‘23 received honorable mentions.
