2-1 Win Away

Bavone
St. Luke’s Girls’ Grey Soccer took the road today for their first match of the season versus Rippowam Cisqua. The first half was a nail-biter, with Ripp scoring an early goal and St. Luke’s tying it up towards the end of the half on a goal from Léa Specter and an assist from Cece Connell. The second half was also hotly contested but Sophia McAnany scored on a break-away to put St. Luke’s ahead 2-1. Our defense held strong for the win. Our goalie for the first half, Bridget Welch, had three saves and our goalie for the second half, Vivian Dorrington, allowed no goals for the half.
