Girls Soccer Finishes AS NEPSAC Runners-up

Daniel Clarke
The St. Luke’s girls varsity soccer team finished as runners-up in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Association (NEPSAC) Class C tournament after a tough loss to #1 seed Brewster Academy on Sunday, Nov. 21.

The Storm made it to the championship game with a 4-0 win against Newton Country Day School in the quarterfinals and a 3-1 win against Berwick Academy in the semifinal. However, undefeated Brewster Academy took the championship trophy back to New Hampshire after a 4-0 win.

St. Luke’s soccer had a season to remember, as it won the FAA regular season title, FAA tournament title, and the Western Women’s New England Preparatory School Soccer Association (WWNEPSSA) Class C regular season title, finishing with an overall record of 20-2-1.

Head Coach Dan Clarke was extremely proud of his players: “Our team had an exceptional season, despite the loss to Brewster. It is always tough to lose in a championship game, but our girls should be immensely proud of their outstanding season and everything they have accomplished.”
