Boys Squash Ready For New England Tournament

The St. Luke’s boys varsity squash team heads to Portsmouth Abbey School, Rhode Island, this weekend to compete in the New England Prep School Boys Team Championships.

The Storm has been entered as the No. 4 seed in the Class D bracket and faces the host team on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 9am.

The winner of that match will play either No. 1 seed Middlesex School or the No. 8 seed Concord Academy at 2:30pm.

The final is scheduled for 10:15am on Sunday, Feb. 13.

St. Luke’s is currently 7-5 overall on the season and will look to improve its record to claim a New England title. Head Coach Brian Mathias is excited to see what his young team can achieve: “This championship gives us a great opportunity to test ourselves against teams that are at our level but we don’t encounter during our regular season. It should make for some exciting matches and memorable performances.”
