St. Luke’s Alumnus Seeks Help for Ukrainian Burn Centers

By: Kate Parker-Burgard, Center for Leadership Director
Vitaly Fetissov ‘11 continues to serve where the needs are the greatest. Vitaly is a physician at a burn clinic in Prague. His work as a leader of volunteer efforts in the ex-pat community was featured in an SLSHeroes story. Now he’s back in action, setting up and supporting a distribution network of medical supplies and devices to burn centers in Ukraine, and they need help. Vitaly has sent a couple of shipments already, but supplies are low. In an email to Head of School Mark Davis, Vitaly asked if we could “reach out to the SLS community and see if anyone has contacts within the medical sector, specifically distribution and transport of supplies. We could use all the help we can get. The problem we have in Europe right now is that there are not enough medical devices being produced. I'm currently looking for other sources where I can find the necessary items.”

If you are in a position to help, please email Vitaly at drvit.fet@gmail.com and he will guide you on how to best get medical supplies to him. As Vitaly said, “I hope that together we can build something that will make a difference.”
