St. Luke’s Senior Wins National Merit Scholarship

Aarit Bhatnagar ‘22 was recently selected as a $2,500 scholarship winner in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program

According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, recipients were chosen from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists “based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments.” When selecting winners, a committee of college admission officers and high school counselors evaluated students on various criteria, including academic records, their school's curriculum and grading system, PSAT scores, written recommendations, activities, leadership roles, and an essay. National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners are the finalists from each state with the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
