St. Luke’s Upper School Releases The Pendulum Magazine

By: Jeorge Yankura, Upper School Art Teacher
The departments of art and English are proud to announce the release of The Pendulum, the Upper School literary and arts magazine, which features the work of St. Luke’s Upper School students. This year, the publication’s theme is elements, with students' articles and artwork related to air, fire, earth, water, and corresponding seasons and colors.

Under the leadership of senior editors Emilia von Lilien-Brockmeyer and Liz Fleischer, the publication's staff met several times throughout the year to review submissions and make decisions about how to shape the magazine. What resulted is a dynamic, engaging publication that encapsulates the thoughts and creative endeavors of St. Luke’s Upper School students.

“This is a publication I anticipate each spring, knowing that it will be a treat for the eyes and the mind,” shared Head of Upper School Liz Perry. “I love discovering new poets and artists among our student body. The 2022 edition does not disappoint.”

Physical copies of the publication are available in the school library, and the digital version can be viewed here.
