The Storm arrived just in time for their match against King and started without the benefit of a proper warm-up. Coming in confident on their 2-0 record, St. Luke's underestimated their smaller opponents. The Vikings' play was fast and precise, and they embodied the notion that what matters is not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. Despite facing opponents who matched them for pace and outpassed them with accuracy, the Storm refused to back down. St. Luke's continued to look for opportunities to break down the Viking defenses by relying on one another and a strong team ethos. As the match looked poised for a hard-fought draw, the lightning struck in the closing minutes with s Storm goal to snatch the victory in Stamford.
