Danny Gall '23 Wins FAA Cross Country Meet

The St. Luke’s cross country team had another outstanding performance at the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) meet on Wednesday, Oct. 19, with Danny Gall ’23 winning the boys race.

Finishing in first place, Danny completed the course at SUNY Purchase College with a time of 15:51.4. His brother, Brian Gall ’23, came in seventh overall. Will Drapkin ’24, who finished third for St. Luke’s, placed 15th overall to help secure another fourth-place finish for the team.

The tremendous effort at SUNY earned St. Luke’s third place overall on the season, when all three FAA meets are combined. The Storm finished behind Hopkins and Brunswick for one of the team’s best seasons in its history.

In the girls race, Hanna Zable ’26 finished eighth overall, with a time of 20:29.3, and Kathleen Coffey ’24 placed 16th overall, with a time of 21:12.4. The Storm finished seventh overall and looks forward to the FAA Championship race at Sherwood Island Park on Monday, Oct. 31.

Head Coach Corliss Spencer was thrilled for Danny and her entire team: “Our success this season is the result of everyone on the team contributing. I am so happy to be a part of this team and look forward to our championship meet at the end of October.”
