Faculty and Staff Dig In to Deepen the Strategic Plan

N.T.
On Friday, Oct. 21, St. Luke’s faculty and staff gathered for the first of four meetings dedicated to the Strategic Plan. Head of School Mary Halpin Carter told attendees: “We have a terrific Strategic Plan — our next step is to develop it further. It is essential to engage all our SLS colleagues in this next step, so that we pour our best thinking into the plan and it belongs to all of us.”

Dr. Carter introduced strategic consultant Ian Symmonds, who discussed “operationalizing” the plan and the need for insights from faculty and staff. Much of the morning was spent in small, facilitator-led breakout groups. The goal was for each group to identify three important additions that would deepen the plan. The morning culminated with representatives from each group sharing ideas, which will be prioritized, refined and developed into action steps.

“The excitement among faculty and staff was palpable. So many people commented on how great it felt to work together,” said Assistant Director of Admission Blake Bueckman.”It’s exciting that our input is valued and will shape St. Luke’s future.”
