World Language Students Win National & Regional Awards

Each spring, St. Luke’s Middle and Upper School World Language Departments announce the winners of regional and national language competitions. This year, more than 150 St. Luke’s students received recognition, including dozens of medals and honorable mention winners for the National Spanish Exam and National French Contest (lists below). Congratulations to St. Luke’s 2023 World Language Award Winners!  

Aidan Flanagan ’24 was the sole winner of The American Association of Teachers of French CT Alberta Conte Junior Prize, the top statewide French prize for juniors in high school. He won $500 for this prestigious prize.

The following Mandarin students won recognition at the New York University’s Rock That Movie Chinese Video Competition:
