Personal Finance

St. Luke's Personal Finance summer enrichment course will offer an overview of introductory concepts such as checking and savings accounts, credit cards, and budgeting among other topics.  The goal is to demystify the essentials surrounding how money is made, saved, and transacted in the digital age.

Students will encounter budgeting for their first experience away from home, seeking out ways to minimize and manage debt, and learning of the benefits of compound interest. Additionally, time will be devoted to reading rental agreements, as well as terms and conditions of leases for apartments and cars.

Led by Upper School Math teacher Dave Burnham, this course is intended for rising sophomores through graduates of the Class of 2022.

There is no Math prerequisite. The material will be accessible and engaging for students at all levels.

Please contact Hunter Martin with questions regarding the course.
