Please join us for the 3rd Annual One Step Closer to Home Walk-A-Thon Sunday, September 27, 2015 Inspirica, 141 Franklin Street, Stamford
Registration starts at 11am and the walk begins at 12:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome!
St. Luke's is partnering with Inspirica to help break the cycle of homelessness. Knowing that changing the experiences of youth is critical for creating long-term change, we look for opportunities to bring our communities together. This walk is a way of raising awareness and money in the fight against homelessness.
Join us on September 27 for the walk-a-thon. One does not need to be affiliated with St. Luke's to participate. All are welcome to join in this walk through downtown Stamford. (Children 12 years old and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.)
"The walk-a-thon is super exciting. It’s a win-win-win event: it builds awareness about homelessness; it raises money to run our programs; and, it shows that we are a caring community that wants to give back. Of course, the big winners are the people who – thanks to the walk-a-thon – will now be able to move from the streets to health, jobs, homes and dignity! THANK YOU!" - Jason Shaplen, Inspirica CEO
"The St. Luke’s and Inspirica missions complement each other perfectly. We have walked together since forming our strategic partnership, so the walk-a-thon gives visibility to our joint efforts and purposes while bringing much needed resources to those who need them." - Mark Davis, St. Luke’s Head of School
