  • Complete Student Profile

St. Luke's uses the Standard Application Online (SAO), a common application used by many independent schools. The first step is to Complete the Student Profile and submit your application fee in order to make your application visible to the Office of Admission.

St. Luke's school code is 6530.

Later in the process, you will use the SAO to submit Parent and Student Statements and to request recommendations and school records.
  • Schedule Interviews

When the Office of Admission receives your SAO Student Profile, we will contact your family to schedule your interviews and optional campus tour.
  • Submit Standardized Testing

St. Luke's has a Standardized Test Preferred policy. Students may submit scores from either of the two independent school entrance exams - the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the SSAT - or from any standardized test completed in school. While test scores are not required to complete an application, we still find the information valuable.
  • Finalize your Application

The SAO Application must be submitted by January 15 to be considered for a Mid-February decision.  Submission of the Student and Parent statements along with Grades and Teacher recommendations are all requested and submitted through the SAO Portal.

Parent Statement - short essay question responses from applicant parent(s)/guardian(s)
Student Statement - short essay question response from the applicant
Graded Writing Sample - a graded writing sample from the current school year
Transcripts - full report card from the previous school year; any grades and comments available to date for the current school year
Recommendations - from the student's current English and math teachers, from a principal or guidance counselor, and from one personal source (such as a coach or activity leader)

Applications submitted after January 15 will be considered on a space available basis.
  • Apply for Tuition Assistance (optional)

Families requesting Tuition Assistance are asked to submit a Financial Aid Application using Clarity.
