Workshop Description:

For Upper School Students: The SLS CPR mini-course will certify students in CPR/AED and First Aid through the American Red Cross. The primary purpose of the program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The program teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a two-year certification, and the course cost includes the certification fee. This course will satisfy the graduation requirement for SLS students, and is also open to 9th-12th graders from other schools who are interested in CPR training and certification.
