Marine Science Camp

Dive into the ocean during this exciting Marine Science half-day camp designed with middle school students in mind! Participants will explore the wonders of the sea through hands-on labs, engaging discussions about ocean conservation, and creative marine science activities and crafts. From examining vital microorganisms like plankton under the microscope to investigating what it takes to be an apex predator like a Great White Shark, campers will become young marine scientists ready to make waves for a better planet!

Each day, campers will learn about diverse marine habitats, ocean currents, marine animal adaptations, and the impact of human activity on our seas. They'll also bring out their artistic side with ocean-themed projects that connect science with creativity.

Come join us to see what lies below the surface of the water and discover how the ocean plays a crucial role in keeping our planet healthy. Whether you're fascinated by sea turtles, curious about coral reefs, or passionate about protecting our blue planet, this camp is your chance to explore and learn more about the place so many animals call home!

This camp is led by Laura Jones, who teaches 5th grade science at St. Luke’s School and holds a Master’s degree in Marine Science and Oceanography. Before beginning her teaching career, Ms. Jones worked as a shark biologist, researching shark migrations and sensory systems
