The St. Luke’s debate team will participate in the Connecticut Debate Association state finals on Saturday, April 2.
This weekend the St. Luke’s debate team will participate in the Connecticut Debate Association state finals. The school will send two varsity teams consisting of Eli Posner ’16 and Chloe Kekedjian ’18, and Alex Levy ’16 and Bilal Memon ‘18. The teams will debate multiple rounds on Saturday, April 2nd, at Wilton High School against top teams from all over the State.
St. Luke's has an incredibly talented team of motivated individuals. They drill and debate after school every day. The topics are usually focused on environmental, political, or ethical dilemmas. They have frequently placed first or second in monthly CDA tournaments. In addition to the CDA, the St. Luke’s squad also participates in the Debate Association of North East Independent Schools, as well as national tournaments such as the Liberty Bell Classic held at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Osterweis tournament held at Yale University.
