US Science Class Takes Trip to Natural History Museum

The Anatomy and Physiology class visited The Secret World Inside You exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. The focus was to illuminate the many varied roles that microbes play in maintaining human health. This relatively new field of study explores how our unique community of microbes aides the immune system and helps support healthy digestion. As Caroline Nevin ‘18 discovered,"I didn't know a lot about microbiomes and the interactive exhibit really helped to make clear how important the bacteria are to our health."
