Strong Scores for World Language Students

Congratulations to all the St. Luke’s World Language students who attained national recognition for their excellent performances on the 2016 National Spanish Examination,  National French Contest and National Latin Exam.
 
St. Luke’s Spanish students earned a total of 18 gold, 11 silver and 25 bronze medals along with 28 honorable mentions. The National Spanish Examination is the largest of its kind in the United States with more than 160,000 students participating this year.

Scoring on the National French Contest was strong with 8 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze and 26 honorable mentions. More than 85,000 students nationwide took the exam this year.
 
In the National Latin Exam, St. Luke’s students received 14 achievement recognitions—placing in the Summa Cum Laude, Maxima Cum Laude, Cum Laude, Ribbon of Achievement and Certificate of Achievement categories. This year, the National Latin Exam was taken in 14 countries by more than 150,000 students.

Our Mandarin students will take the Youth Chinese Test in late May with results avaiable in June.

We are so proud of our World Language students who, year after year, do very well on these exams.
