Maroon And White Volleyball Tournament A Huge Success
Dan Clarke
The second annual Maroon and White Volleyball tournament was a huge success again this year with over 50 girls competing in the event.
The entire St. Luke’s Volleyball program from grades 5-12 came out in force for the friendly competition that emphasized community building, sisterhood, and sportsmanship.
Varsity captains Alexa Vogel ‘17, Caitlyn Hughes ‘17 and Ana Luque ‘17 did a fantastic job of announcing and organizing the event.
Head Coach Abby Bielski was thrilled with how things went and said, “This tournament is a great way to bring the upper and middle school together. It's fun to watch the entire program work together as a team and enjoy the sport.”
Following the round-robin tournament, each team identified a 'queen of the court' before celebrated with a visit to the ice cream truck.
