Congratulations to our St. Luke’s competitive crew athletes Patrick Curley ‘17, Nate Phelps ‘18 and Meg Adams ‘17 who all excelled at The Head of The Fish regatta recently in Saratoga, NY.
In one of the biggest races in the Northeast, Curley came in second place in the Lightweight Varsity Eight’s and Phelps finished fourth in the Varsity Quad. Adams finished first in the Varsity Women’s Quad and third in the Lightweight Four.
All three of the SLS students row out of The Maritime Rowing Club in Norwalk and were competing against over 100 teams from across New England and beyond.
Another St. Luke’s rower Justine Maguire ‘19, who rows out of Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, has also enjoyed a stellar season with a second place finish at the Riverfront regatta in Hartford and a 1st place finish at The Head of the Schuykill race in Philadelphia, PA.
All four students have a gruelling training schedule which involves working out for over 3 hours a day, six days a week but seem to be reaping the rewards of all their hard work.
