COLT Contest: Students Compete in World Languages

In early April, 10 St. Luke’s students competed in the COLT Poetry Recitation contest in Vernon, Conn. Competitors memorized a poem in another language and then recited it in front of a panel of judges. St. Luke’s students competed in Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Hebrew.
St. Luke’s students were awarded three medals: bronze for Moli Ma in Chinese Heritage 9-10, as well as silver for Emma Herdeg in Chinese HS3 and Emma Seel in Chinese Heritage 9-10.
St. Luke’s students from 5th to 11th grade participated in the contest, including Sierra Taylor ‘20, Emma Herdeg ‘21, Moli Ma ‘21, Danielle Nares ‘21, Emma Seel ‘21, Audrey Magnusen ‘22, Riley Susser ‘22, Macy Millones ‘23, Jackie Cecil ‘24, and Nate Samelson ‘26.
