Thirty-five years ago Sunday, an underdog defeated a long-reigning champion. Every hockey fan knows the legend of the Miracle on Ice, the United States’ improbable Olympic win over the Soviet dynasty. A snowy Saturday afternoon in Rye, NY bore familiar marks to that fateful day, albeit on a smaller scale.
