Lunch & Lead Launches With Amity Shlaes

The Center for Leadership’s 2015-2016 Lunch & Lead series launched this week with its first speaker—New York Times best-selling author and columnist Amity Shlaes. An expert on President Calvin Coolidge, Shlaes met with Upper School students and faculty to talk about Coolidge and rebellion. She discussed his ability to stand up to others and how his “rebellions were with a purpose.”

Prior to the lunchtime Lunch & Lead, Shlaes graciously met with parents and faculty in the library to discuss President Coolidge’s impact on our nation’s history. Shlaes is also chairman of the board of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation.
