The St. Luke’s Athletic Department is hosting a parents event on Thursday, March 2nd to discuss the importance of having a healthy approach to sports.

There will be three guest speakers in attendance who will give an introductory presentation before hosting breakout sessions to discuss their areas of expertise.

Dr. Daphne Scott, an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Dr. Jill Walker, a concussion specialist at Stamford Hospital Concussion Center and Dr. Alex Diaz, a sports psychologist from Sports Mental Edge will form the panel.

All St. Luke’s parents are welcome to attend this event which will take place in the Fireplace Commons from 6:00-7:30pm.

Assistant Athletic Director Anna Knechtel said, “This will be a great event for our community. I think our parents will really enjoy what the expert panel have to say about treating our student athletes with a balanced approach.”
