SLS Students Experience Powerful Theatre Trip

From Director of Theatre Arts, Jason Peck:

On Sunday, eleven St. Luke's students and I had an amazing field trip to Manhattan to see Deaf West's Broadway production of Spring Awakening. This production was enhanced by a cast of deaf and hearing actors alike, all who signed their performances in ASL (American Sign Language) giving the production an incredible energy. It was a mind-blowing experience. Duncan Sheik's amazing score and Frank Wedekind's story speak to the awakening that happens when you are a teen. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to see the transcendent power of what theatre can do.
