Girls Leadership Group Visits Refinery29

VGP
On May 20, Twenty-one Upper School students and two chaperones took the train to NYC to visit the cutting-edge digital media company Refinery29. This inspiring and educational field trip was part of the Girls Leadership Group.

Several information-packed panel discussions were arranged for our St. Luke’s group. Staff from various departments, including marketing, design and digital media participated. The panel discussions covered an array of topics including one on what makes a leader. Chaperone Elizabeth Nelson observed, "They emphasized sustaining a supportive workplace environment for woman, and valuing work/life balance." Sarabeth Davis '16—who initiated this field trip—summed it up saying, "It was such an amazing trip where we learned so much."

Many thanks to St. Luke’s parent and Refinery29 CFO Tom Etergino for helping make this happen.
