World Language Faculty Take on Leadership Roles

V. Parker
St. Luke’s World Language faculty members are at the front line of leadership in the state of Connecticut when it comes to the promotion of world language study.  St. Luke’s teachers Jon Shee and Susan Sarrazin recently ran side-by-side booths at the well-attended Connecticut Organization of Language Teachers (COLT) fall conference in Cromwell. This organization—which supports World Language teacher and student activities—has strong representation from St. Luke’s. Susan Sarrazin is overseeing the National Spanish Exam for the entire state of Connecticut. Amber Berry runs the Connecticut National French Contest and Jon Shee is the President of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF). Evan Downey serves as Treasurer for the same association.
