St. Luke’s Juniors Run Carver Center Holiday Party

V. Parker
From Director of Character Education Kate Parker-Burgard:

In keeping with a favorite SLS holiday tradition, this year’s junior class had a great time planning and running the Carver Center Holiday Party which took place last Friday night. Students formed committees where they planned the decorations, refreshments, games, prizes, crafts, face painting, and who would be Santa (Nate Phelps donned the suit this year).

During the party, the St. Luke’s students were delighted to laugh and play with the Carver children. The juniors’ interactions with the younger children really added an enchanting tone to the holiday season. One student noted, "seeing the smiles on the children’s faces really put a smile on mine." As the two communities came together, children of all ages enjoyed the festivities and good spirit that filled the Carver Center.
