From MS Student Council Advisor Sarah Westerberg:

The Middle School Student Council’s scheduled some spirit weeks leading up to the winter break. On Monday, they hosted a Treat-Off! in which 10 contestants battled for the top spots and prizes. Judging was open to anyone who gave $3 to sample the 10 treats. The Treat-Off! winners were announced at Wednesday’s MS Town Meeting with Fiona Mueller ‘24 & Ava Waldman ‘24 coming in 1st, Sophie Dekker ‘23 in 2nd and Abby Thomas ‘23 in 3rd place.

Other MS spirit activities include Festive Friday where students don holiday attire and a holiday Kahoot! Game. Last week’s winners included Danny Gall ‘23 (Kahoot!), Toby Bloch ‘23 and Tatum Lemkau ‘25 (Festive Friday). The Student Council will partner with the student-run club Paws for a Cause for the final activity of the holiday season: The Holiday Pet Photo Contest. Five finalists will be selected by the Student Council and presented at next week’s Town Meeting to then be voted on by the entire Middle School.

Prizes have included gift cards and candy. Proceeds from the Treat-Off! will be used for Middle School student activities throughout the year.
