Ninth Grade Enjoys a Team-Building Overnighter
From 9th Grade Class Dean Abby Abbott:
The entire 9th grade traveled to Sharpe Reservation, a nature preserve in Fishkill, NY, for a two-day adventure designed to foster class bonding, team building, leadership and fun.
Teamwork tests, a high-ropes course, a night hike, sports and games, reading, a leadership inventory activity, campfire songs, and s’mores (along with speeches and elections for 9th-grade representative) kept our days busy and exciting. We had many sleepy faces on Wednesday, but the feedback from parents and students has been overwhelmingly positive.
The 9th-grade program is packed with activities and experiences like this one, designed to help ease the transition into Upper School and provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the experience along the way.
An upcoming gradewide event will be the 9th Grade Holiday Toy Drive for the Carver Center.
