Fairchester Alliance Upcoming Open House

V. Parker
From Assistant Head of School for Leadership and Innovation Jim Foley:

In 2016, St. Luke’s led the creation of the Fairchester Hiring Alliance—a consortium of schools in Fairfield and Westchester counties working together to build more equitable and inclusive school communities by increasing the diversity of the participating schools’ teaching faculty.

On November 14, the Fairchester Alliance’s 2nd Annual Open House for Educators of color will take place from 7:00-9:00pm at Greenwich Country Day School. This event is designed primarily for people who may not already be familiar with or considering independent schools. Panelists from participating schools will discuss their own career paths, the professional cultures within their school communities, and the incredible opportunities afforded by an independent school career. They will also discuss the ins and outs of the hiring process for prospective candidates.

If you know of anyone who may be interested, please share this Fairchester Alliance Open House flyer with details about the event. If you are interested in learning more about the Fairchester Hiring Alliance, we invite you to join us on LinkedIn.

Participating Fairchester Alliance Schools include Brunswick School, Greenwich Academy, Greenwich Country Day School, Greens Farms Academy, Hackley School, Hopkins School, King School, The Masters School, New Canaan Country Day School, Sacred Heart Greenwich, and St. Luke’s School.
