Thank You SLS Parent Tailgaters!
On Sunday, May 23, the Parents' Association was thrilled to be able to bring the parent community together to gather on the Hilltop for its first annual Parents Tailgate. The weather was perfect for our first time together after 18 months.
Cars, filled with parents, rapidly started rolling in and set up fantastic tailgate decorations with creative themes like a day at the beach, Hawaiian luau, hanging by the pool, college spirit, Kentucky Derby, and, of course, 2021 seniors! Our winning tailgate - the Kentucky Derby Team- walked away with bragging rights and a gift card to enjoy the FED food truck. With close to 100 parents in attendance, the weather was beautiful and the air was filled with the smell of delicious gourmet hot dogs, from Chez Lénard, and cool classic rock played by the amazing band, Grandpa Moses. It was a terrific day for parents to gather, laugh, and connect with friends old and new.
We look forward to continuing this new tradition in the future and are so thrilled to have been able to end the year in true St. Luke's style... TOGETHER!
