The annual High School Halo Awards, presented by Seven Angels Theater, honors high school students’ achievements in all aspects of theatre. More than 60 high schools from across the state of Connecticut participate. Awards are given in numerous categories, including Best Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Performance by the Cast in an Ensemble Production, Best Comic Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Student Choreographer, as well as for lighting, design, stage management, special effects, and more.
St. Luke’s theater arts teacher Dawn Fuller shared: “Looking back, the fact that we could produce theatrical work was such a gift. Having our work recognized in myriad categories is simply icing on the cake! I couldn’t be more proud of the commitment and passion these students showed this year!”
This year, the Seven Angels Theatre’s Halo Awards Ceremony will be presented online on Thursday, July 8, at 7:00pm. Tickets to view the online ceremony are complimentary but must be reserved in advance.
