Adventure Awaits at Middle School Musical Honk! Jr.

Written by: Theater Arts Director John Conners
SLS Theater presents the Middle School winter musical Honk! Jr. (with book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe and music by George Stiles) — a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling.”

The main character, Ugly, is different from his duckling siblings. This leads to an adventure of self-discovery, the chance to meet other unique characters, and the challenge of evading a hungry cat. Messages about bullying and inclusion are woven throughout this entertaining tale, which is great fun for all ages.

There are two chances to see Honk! Jr. in the Seldin Performing Arts Center: Friday, March 4, at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 5, at 3:00pm. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. Vaccinations are required for all eligible attendees.
