Students Volunteer at Darien Adventure Day

S.A.
On Sunday, May 15, a group of St. Luke’s students spent their day serving others at Adventure Day at Dunlap & Selleck's Woods. This town-wide event, sponsored by the Darien Land Trust and Friends of Selleck's Woods, and enhanced by Darien Parks & Recreation, brought together nearly 600 area residents for a day of outdoor activities.

St. Luke’s students were instrumental in supervising the children’s activities, such as zip lining, plank walking, and exploring nature awareness stations, which educated kids on the importance of growing native plants, increasing bird and bat habitats, and discovering what's living in and around the lake ecosystem.

Elizabeth Mathus, a Darien Land Trust board member, exclaimed, “St. Luke’s students were awesome! The event could not have run without their involvement. They worked nonstop for five hours! So proud of them.”

Thank you to Peyton Ambrose ‘25, Lily Carre '24, Whitney Grunow ‘25, Peter Lewis ‘24, Connor Mannix '24, Will Mathus ‘24, Caleb Seiden ‘23, Margot Seiden ‘25, Henry Stimpson ‘25, and Matthew Stimpson ‘24 for volunteering and being exemplars of service.
