Volunteer at Waterside School Summer Program

VGP
Every summer, St. Luke’s Upper School students have the opportunity to volunteer at the Waterside School summer program. It’s a great chance to be part of a rewarding experience and get service credit. Director of Character Education Kate Parker-Burgard said “In the ten years we’ve worked with the Waterside School, I’ve seen this program shape many St. Luke’s students’ sense of purpose.”  Lauren Fraites ‘17 has volunteered at Waterside and said, “Everyday at Waterside was fantastic. I loved working with the students and hope I get to see them this summer. After my experience with the Waterside School, I am now thinking about pursing a degree in education. I love Waterside and summer cannot come soon enough for me.”

Camp takes place at the Waterside School in Stamford, CT Monday through Friday, June 29-July 31. St. Luke’s students can volunteer 1-5 weeks but must to commit to a full week. There are still some spaces for those interested in volunteering. Applications should be submitted by Monday, March 23. For more details, visit the the Center for Leadership Waterside Camp webpage or contact Ms. Parker-Burgard.
