Model UN Celebrates A Year of Excellence with In-House Tournament

The SLS Model United Nations team wrapped up an unforgettable year with a student-led in-house tournament. The scenario for the final event of the year? A global zombie apocalypse.

Organized entirely by the student leadership team, this simulation wasn’t just about diplomacy in a world turned upside down. It was a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and student-driven leadership. Congratulations to Maddie Brown ‘26 (Best Rookie), Eliza Raben ‘27 (Outstanding Delegate), and Maeve Welch ‘26 (Best Delegate) on their awards. A special thank you to our senior president, Reese Kubick, who led her final high school tournament with her signature dedication and verve. Reese took this club to new heights, and her ability to help us all lead with humanity will be felt for years to come. The club continues to grow thanks to the passion and commitment of our students.

This year, over 100 students participated in Model UN and attended conferences at Brown, Cornell, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, and UPenn.

Congratulations to our incredible team. If you’d like to get involved, sign up information will be available at the club fair next fall.
