Boys Varsity Squash Defeats Collegiate School in Season Opener
The boys swept Collegiate in straight sets without dropping a game.
The St. Luke’s boys varsity squash team started its season off with a bang on December 5. The boys swept the Collegiate School from New York City in straight sets. They won 8-0. Senior Captains Hank Ferris ‘16, and Chris Bloomer ‘16 led the squad to victory. Several players, including freshmen Andrew Patty ‘19, and Ian Blatchford ‘19, played their first match for the Storm. Sophomores Ian Thomas ‘18, and Logan Diliberto ‘18, as well as senior Tom Howells ‘16 were once again in the lineup after taking the 2014 – 2015 season off. 7th grader Liam Patty ‘21 was called up from the Junior Varsity team and played in the 8th position. The Storm won every match without dropping a game. The boys varsity squash team looks to continue its success on Tuesday, December 8, in New Haven against the Yale based urban squash program, Squash Haven.
