Spectacular Sing Off 3.0

VGP
Sing Off 3.0—consisting of student-formed a capella groups singing their own arrangements— resonated strongly for a third year in a row. The first round had ten groups (four Chorale and six Chorus) competing in a packed Black Box Theater. The theme was pop music and the teams competed for honorable mentions and the chance to move to round two. Keep It Low Key (Chorus),  Major Pitches (Chorus), and The Tempo Tantrums (Chorale) were the final three selected to compete in the Seldin Performing Arts Center (watch video). In the end, The Tempo Tantrums was the audience favorite and named winner of Sing Off 3.0.

Honorable Mentions went to the following:
Outstanding Vocal Percussion - Peter Leventhal (Sound Tigers)
Outstanding Soloists - Claire Sachs (One Note Stand) and Nick Jodka (The Tempo Tantrums)
Outstanding Arrangement - 4 Broke Pitches and The Tempo Tantrums
Outstanding Choreography - Major Pitches and The Tempo Tantrums

A special thanks to our faculty judges Elizabeth Nelson, Leo Mahler and Jason Peck.
