Lunch & Lead: Artist Nancy Moore

By Ana Luque ‘17:

Focused on Visual Arts week, last Thursday’s Lunch and Lead speaker Nancy Moore provided valuable advice about the strength of self-expression. Moore shared her artistic techniques, describing how her painting evolved into a medium through which she could voice her thoughts and release her stress. Her paintings focus on the power of women and gender identity which has shaped her personal life and strengthened her personality. Moore said, "Art creates this safe space. It allows people to come together and discuss some tough issues."  Moore’s visit was a wonderful event in the midst of a celebration of the arts here at the Hilltop, and we are so happy she joined us for such special occasion.
