St. Luke’s Nominated for 18 Halo Awards

St. Luke’s actors and tech crew received an impressive 18 Halo Awards nominations. This red carpet event is considered the most prestigious high school award ceremony in the state of Connecticut. Close to seventy-five schools from every county of Connecticut  are participating, including both public and independent schools. St. Luke's will also be performing the song For Now from Avenue Q during the ceremony.  

The 13th Annual Halo Awards will be held on May 31 at 6:00pm in the historic Palace Theatre in Waterbury.

Here are our nominees:
  • Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play: Amelia Wyckoff as Jesse in Distracted.
  • Best Costume Design/Organization: Chloe Kekedjian for Avenue Q
  • Best Lighting Design: Harry Wyckoff for Distracted
  • Best Scenic Design: Christina McLaughlin for Distracted
  • Best Running Crew: Run Crew for Into the Woods
  • Best Stage Management: Gabby Mitchell and Chloe Kekedjian for Avenue Q
  • Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Play: Nick Jodka as Doctors Zavala/Broder/Jinks/Karnes in Distracted
  • Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Play: Zoe Smith as Natalie in Distracted
  • Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Musical: Michael Crispi as Jack in Into the Woods
  • Best Performance by a Couple or Dynamic Duo in a Musical: Amelia Wyckoff and Ellie Haljun in Avenue Q
  • Fearless Award (given to brave choice of material and bravery of performance) : Distracted
  • Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play: Ryan Linneman as Dad in Distracted
  • Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play: Grace Cashman as Mama in Distracted
  • Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Contemporary Musical: Nick Jodka as Princeton in Avenue Q
  • Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Contemporary Musical: Grace Cashman as Kate Monster in Avenue Q
  • Best Contemporary Play: Distracted
