2016 Caduceus Unveiling and Dedication

During a recent special All School assembly, St. Luke’s yearbook Co-Editors Sammi Ryan ‘16, Ali Trager ‘16 and Natalie Bachman ‘17 unveiled the 2016 Caduceus and announced that the Class of 2016 had chosen to dedicate the yearbook to Sonia Bell, St. Luke’s Director of College Counseling. Each year, the entire School looks forward to this well-loved tradition of honoring a St. Luke’s faculty member. Sonia received a standing ovation as the yearbook staff presented her a name-stamped copy of the Caduceus and shared the following dedication:

“This year, we wanted to choose someone who was instrumental to the success of the senior class. No one has worked harder or cares more than this woman, and her dedication to her job has made the lives of the seniors infinitely easier. She is an amazing teacher, mentor, and friend whose smile and radiant energy never fails to light up whatever room she walks into. Her humor and positive energy has brightened our worst days, made our best days that much better, and made us believe that we might actually get into college. She has created an unbreakable bond with the class of 2016 that each and every one of us will never forget. The Class of 2016 is eternally grateful for all she has done for our grade and the St. Luke’s community. We will never forget the inspiring lessons she has taught, the jokes we have shared, and the memories we have created—the Class of 2016 is honored to dedicate this year’s Caduceus to Ms. Sonia Bell.

The theme of this year’s yearbook is “place”. Editor Sammi Ryan explained, “This year, we chose a theme that represents St. Luke’s in all our lives. Each of us has come from a different place and each of us, specifically the seniors, are going somewhere different. St. Luke’s has become a stopping point and we wanted to choose a theme that represents St. Luke’s as a significant location in all of our lives. We chose to center the book around the phrase “You are Here,” which reflects the idea of St. Luke’s as an important stopping point for all of us. Wherever we go in our lives, we will always have St. Luke’s to call our home.”

The 300 page, full-color yearbook is still available to purchase. There are two ways to order a copy:
