St. Luke's 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

VGP
On the heels of Commencement 2016, 8th grade families gathered for their own rite of passage: St. Luke’s Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony. Head of Middle School Gareth Fancher and several Middle School teachers shared stories from the past and advice for the future.

The 8th Grade Girls Choir sang Breakaway and the 8th Grade Boys Choir sang Nights. A video montage created by MS Science Chair Susan Bralower included many experiences and adventures students have shared since arriving on the Hilltop. Tradition continued with each 8th grader signing his or her handprint and receiving a certificate of promotion. The ceremony was followed by a reception in the Fireplace Commons and then the 8th Grade Dance.
