Marine Science Class Experiences Local Ecosystem

VGP
It was a day at the beach for some St. Luke’s students as they searched for crabs, fish, snails, plankton and other organisms as part of Dr. Higgins Marine Science class. These 10th-12th graders collected sea life at Norwalk’s Calf Pasture Beach in preparation for upcoming independent research projects. Higgins said, “this trip was a great opportunity to raise student awareness of the local ecosystem through a hands-on experience.”

To see them in action and some organisms they collected, go to the Marine Science field trip photo gallery.
