“Varsity Visits” at the Carver Center

VGP
On Tuesday afternoon, 14 members of the St. Luke’s football team went to the Carver Center in Norwalk to teach football skills and life lessons. This trip was part of Varsity Visits which is a community of varsity athletes committed to making a difference for local children in need. Jamie Krill '18 helped organize Varsity Visits and this event. He said, "We taught the kids how to pass, catch, and block. We also discussed the importance of getting good grades and hard work." Jamie continued, "Our goal is to be good role models by offering companionship and mentorship to the children of the Carver Center."

Carver Center Director of Philanthropy Joe Gallagher said, “The Carver kids had a wonderful time and are looking forward to the next visit. We’ve already shared a story about the first Varsity Visit.”
