On Saturday, October 15, the St. Luke's Middle School Debate Team had an impressive 26 students participate in a Connecticut Middle School Debate League scrimmage at Bethel Middle School. Nine of our teams debated the resolution This House would not assign homework.
This was a first debate for many of our debaters and the record shows that they argued well. Schools from all the state competed, with over 140 students attending. A special thanks to Assistant Head of MS Mark Chuhta for helping chaperone this well-represented event.
