Fall Plays: Nov. 4-5 and Nov. 11-12

V. Parker
St. Luke’s Theater is in full swing this fall with two productions: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and All My Sons.

This weekend the Middle School is presenting The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a short play by Christopher Cartmill. This play is about Ichabod Crane who has only two things on his mind—the host of spirits he believes haunt the town, and the beautiful Katrina.  Somehow, his pursuit of the latter always seems to bring him face-to-face with the former. What is going on in this quiet town? Come explore the mystery of Sleepy Hollow in the Black Box Theater tonight at 7:00pm and tomorrow 11/5 at 3:00pm.

Next weekend is the Upper School production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. This play is about a family living in a small American town just after World War II whose son disappeared during the war. When the missing son's fiancée arrives in town, the family's secrets are exposed with tragic consequences. Director of Theatre Arts Jason Peck said, “This work explores the relentless pursuit of the American Dream. All My Sons is not often attempted as a high school production but we have a very special crop of actors able to take on this compelling play.”

All My Sons is being presented Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 at 7:00pm in the Seldin Performing Arts Center. Both productions are free admission and open to the public. Invite your family and friends.
